Culture or Heredity?

In my opinion, people are mostly a product of culture and the society in which
they live. If people were strictly a product of their family's heritage, then everyone would be very different from one another, and life would not be as we
know it today. The culture you live in influences you because people have similar norms, values, customs, and beliefs. When people are surrounded by a society
who shares these things, it is almost impossible to stay completely different
and not conform in some way with the group/culture you are surrounded by.

If I was born and grew up in Italy, my values of family, religion, and athletics
would be much stronger. The way I would greet people would also be different
in terms of it being more formal depending on the person. Many things in would
be very different depending on which culture you grew up in and how you were
"raised" by your society.
